Who invented "Gore invented the Internet"?

Bob "the Daily Howler" Somerby has made the press' War Against Gore in 1999-2000 his personal hobby horse. He reminds us today who the first person on record was with the phony charge, which quickly became so beloved by the Establishment press, that Gore had claimed he "invented the Internet".

It was Mark Foley.
