Folding a Paper Crane

Because my friend Tim requested it in a comment to my post about Sadako and her story, and because I have loved Tim longer than many of you have had driver's licenses, I am putting the link to the best online directons I have found for folding a paper crane right here in plain sight. I've looked at a lot of them, and these are the clearest. They are from the Hiroshima International School, a site with information and links that will keep you reading for quite a while.

And if this doesn't do it for you, Tim, I'll mail you some in hard copy. My ten year old kids could do it, so I'm sure you can too. The paper is all-important, get some origami paper, it works much better than anything else. Wonderful colors and patterns too.

FEATURED QUOTE

"It is the logic of our times
No subject for immortal verse
That we who lived by honest dreams
Defend the bad against the worse."

-- Cecil Day-Lewis from Where Are The War Poets?
