Okay I can't help it, I am already planning the menu for my "Karl Rove Frog Marching Fiesta". I truly love a good party, and there have been no occasions to celebrate in the last 4 years, and you can't really count the times when I've cried in my beer. It is true that my celebration might be somewhat premature, but you can't blame a gurl for hoping.
I think the menu should have a French theme, because we all know how much Karl admires the French.
I think I should also have a separate celebration in honor of the White House press corps growing a set of cojones over the weekend. That may also be premature, but I truly loved the post by fdtate (scroll down) detailing the attempt of the mainstream media to nail the slippery and slimy Scott McClellan to the wall. I don't have a whole lot of faith in the mainstream media, the cojones may disappear by mid week, after all, these guys have spent the last four years as mouthpieces for a corrupt Administration, so what little bravado they have shown today may just be that the whole shit pile is finally hitting the fan, and they are scrambling to get out of the way.
Maybe the "Cojones Party" menu should include Marinated Mozzarella Balls, and Ginger Chicken Balls.
Of course there could be cause for another celebration, but it would be so premature, that I can't even give it a name, or guess as to what the theme of the party might be. I wonder though, why is Judith Miller in jail? She didn't write anything. And being a Media Ho for the Administration and front paging all of the false allegations about WMD before the war is not a crime, although it has led our country into the worst mess in modern history, and caused the deaths of 1700 Americans and 100,000 Iraqis. So if these things are not criminal, then certainly not writing a story is not grounds for doing time. Who is she protecting? There is word around DC that Miller is either protecting herself, she is the one who leaked the info to Novak, or she is protecting someone in the Administration. And since Karl Rove has already jumped from the frying pan to the fire, who else is involved?
Is it someone even higher up the food chain than Rove? Cause there's only two.
This could be a great season for parties.
