Cheney's RevengeThe scale of corruption in the Iraq war has been hinted at by news stories about missing and unaccounted funds, exorbitant pricing, and invalid billing by contractors -- especially Halliburton -- but the true scale of the corruption has been covered up and glossed over by an administration that protects its secrets, rewards its friends, and gets payback on anyone who crosses them.So it is no surprise to see this story today. A top Army contracting official who criticized a large, noncompetitive contract with the Halliburton Company for work in Iraq was demoted Saturday for what the Army called poor job performance. Stay the Course = More of the same. | +Save/Share | | |
