No Experience Necessary

Well it's not as bad as you think. Sources close to the White House say President Bush was considering his former elementary school lunch lady for a position on the high court until someone said, "Hey, she's a lawyer," as they vigorously pointed at Harriet Miers. Bush shook his head from the natural stupor he lives in and said, "Hey, she's my lawyer!" So the lunch lady lost out and at least he nominated someone who has passed the bar exam.

FEATURED QUOTE

"It is the logic of our times
No subject for immortal verse
That we who lived by honest dreams
Defend the bad against the worse."

-- Cecil Day-Lewis from Where Are The War Poets?
