Big Day for Ford Shareholders!!!

Shares of Ford gained 42 cents, or 5.3 percent, to close at $8.32 on the New York Stock Exchange today. - The New York Times

Since the start of the Bush administration, "the Big Three automakers have eliminated or plan to eliminate 86,000 jobs, or about one-third of their North American work force", according to an article in today's NY Times.

That's about as many people as will be left working at Ford after these jobs are eliminated.

But in George Bush's Ownership Society, it really doesn't matter if your neighbor loses his job.

Especially if it is good for your 401(k).
