Carnival of the Green #11

The latest location of the Carnival is Ideal Bite, and it's got some fun stuff. My favorite article has to be Jeff of Sustainablog's article, Poop to Power, about the green evolution of the Manchester England police force. They are turning last year's horse manure into bricks which they will burn in the station furnace for heat. Really. Read it, it's fabulous. Second fave is the post on better mental health through better diet. Turns out the same foods that make for a healthy body make for a healthy mind. I may never again have time to write an environmental post substantial enough to warrant sending in to the Carnival, but I want to continue to urge our readers to check in on other fine Green writing.

Another Carnival I'd like to offer for your reading pleasure is Tangled Bank, the latest edition of which is number 45. This is a carnival of science writing, and since science, ecology and the environment often occupy the same section of the cosmic Venn diagram, there are always articles of interest to me at the Bank. Some of the writers submit pieces to both carnivals, and it's a good way to meet people who know a lot more science than most of us do. Or, at any rate, than I do.
