Does FOS Syndrome cause OFS?

Reading about the plight of my fellow liberals, suffering reportedly from Outrage Fatigue Syndrome, I reflected on the possible connection between OFS and the less familiar but nontheless common FOS Syndrome.

The recent apearance of the Attorney General before the Senate Judiciary Committee reminded me of the increasing incidence of FOS Syndrome in Washington, since the GOP came to power. Though principally an affliction associated with the Bush White House and W's appointed hacks, the ravages of FOS Syndrome are also evident in the posturing and evasiveness of Hastert, DeLay, and now Boehner (rhymes with K Street).

These guys are busy now pretending to be interested in the reform of lobbyist payola, while continuing to pretend that Jack Abramoff was not entirely about providing money and power to fellow Republicans. The doublespeak about freedom and democracy from the president (Venezuela? Haiti? Saudi Arabia?), the protests that the feeble-minded leadership of FEMA and DHS had no way of predicting a Katrina, the outright lies about WMD, detainee abuse, NSA wiretaps, etc etc etc.

These people are Full of Shit -- it's so bad and widespread among the GOP, it must be a disease. FOS Syndrome.

No wonder we have OFS. Blame it on GOP FOS. M-O-U-S-E
