We at The Blue Voice have been blogging here for almost eight months now, and we know you have probably gotten used to most of our Voices. I have a little guessing game I play when I open the page and start to read: it consists of trying to guess, after reading only the first sentence, which Voice is writing each new post. I've gotten pretty good at it, and so probably have most of our readers.
And beginning tomorrow there will be a new Voice here in our mix, whom many of you most likely already know. Lisa was a good friend of ours and a compatriot liberal writer when we were all journaling on AOL, with her journal Coming to Terms with Middle Age. She has been a faithful reader and commenter here on The Blue Voice, and has her own Blogspot place now, Better Terms.
Lisa is another Left Coaster, but this time it's the beautiful state of Oregon. She says of herself that she is an "incredulous semi-centenarian, tilting the hourglass to keep the years from sifting through ever more swiftly." She is wise and passionate, often funny, deeply concerned about the events of our time, a "rabid liberal," and not one bit shy about expressing her thoughts in her fine writing. We are pleased and honored that she has accepted our invitation to become the newest member of The Blue Voice. Please join us in welcoming her; if we are lucky and Blogger doesn't mysteriously disappear again overnight, we'll have her initial post up on the front page tomorrow. We are all looking forward to it.
