Senator Kerry Has Gone Over...

Tankwoman alerted me to this story. I have to say, I couldn’t believe it at first. Googled it, and came up with the poop at “ The Raw Story:”

Kerry to introduce line-item veto bill

“In a statement issued earlier today, Senator John Kerry (D-MA) announced not only his support of President Bush's request for a line-item veto power, but also plans to introduce legislation giving President Bush just such power.”

I can’t even begin to imagine what brain disease, utter stupidity, or back-room dealings might have inspired Mr. Kerry to make this move…

Kerry concluded his announcement with a shot at Bush: "Let's hold the President’s feet to the fire to make sure that a White House that has never once vetoed anything starts vetoing the incomprehensible waste coming out of this Congress."

A shot at Bush? A shot of what, steroids? He can’t honestly believe that bestowing the line-item veto on this president would be some kind of political coup for the Democrats?

During the 2004 election, the performance of the Democratic party was so inept, I wondered if major players were on some super-secret GOP payroll. If I had to make a judgment based on this story, I’d say the secret is out…
