Lynch-murder, 2006 styleMore on the Martin Lee Anderson case in Florida, from Boot camp lied, NAACP says: Reports suggest doctors weren't told about the teen being struck by guards by Melissa Nelson:Citing a report from the medical examiner for Escambia County, state NAACP leaders said Wednesday that Bay County boot-camp officials withheld crucial details about Martin Lee Anderson's encounter with guards from doctors who struggled to save his life.I'm not sure why the writer calls it a "struggle", though. The kid was being pummelled by several grown men and was already exhausted when the fatal beating began. The autopsy showed he he died from lack of oxygen from when the killers held him on the ground with their knees, causing irreversible and fatal brain damage. Certainly for part of the beating caught on video, the already-fatally injured kid's limp body was being held up by two of the killers while another punched him repeatedly in the stomach. | +Save/Share | | |
