Hi-ho, hi-ho, it's off to war we goI'm still doing light posting for the next couple of weeks. But I wanted to post quickly that Juan Cole takes a look at the Republican's Congressional Intelligence Sub-Committee's war-propaganda report on Iran and nuclear weapons: Republican Congressional Report on Iran Riddled With Errors 08/25/06.Cole's bottom line: Folks, we are being set up again. The report itself is here: Recognizing Iran as a Strategic Threat: An Intelligence Challenge for the United States 08/23/06. Call me old-fashioned. But the idea of going to war and killing people and sending our soldiers to kill and die and be wounded based on stuff that was just made up by somebody who wants to promote the war just makes me sick. Cole also links to this commentary by Larry Johnson and Congrressional candidate Jim Marcinkowski: Republican Chutypaz on Iran TPMCafe 08/24/06. See also: Hoekstra's Doc on Iran: Garish, Lurid and INSANE! by SusanUnPC, No Quarter blog 08/25/06; Why Bush will Choose War Against Iran by Ray Close, No Quarter blog 08/23/06; and, Pete Hoekstra and a new Snow Job by Pat Lang, Sic Semper Tyrannis blog 08/24/06. (I just discovered that when you log into Blogger through the particular Austrian ISP that my in-laws use, the instructions all appear in German, e.g., "Als Entwurf speichern" for "Save as Draft".) | +Save/Share | | |
