Support For the SurgeI read this in The Guardian today:Clinton and Obama say that new tactics are showing signs of working.Okay...so now the Democrats are pro-Surge? Now I have to switch parties? What parties are left in America? I wouldn't make a very good communist, I like having money and buying stuff, and I wouldn't want to make the same lousy wage as the schlep next to me, who does less work and takes longer breaks. And working for the good of the state seems kind of stupid, because the state ends up being just as corrupt as the corporations that we now work for. I could join the Green Party, but they have as much a chance of winning as the Communists. In the same article I read this: At the same time a leading Republican, Senator John Warner, broke ranks with the White House over Iraq policy. He called on Bush to begin withdrawing some US troops by the end of this year. Warner's remarks were a heavy blow to the White House who previously relied upon his support. They could also bolster less high profile Republicans to start taking a similar stance. What???? So now....if I want an end to the war, I have to vote Republican? Is there any American leader who is willing to tell the truth? Is there anyone running for office who won't flip-flop at the slightest change in opinion polls? If you can find someone who is willing to do the right thing, let me know, I'll send them a check today. | +Save/Share | | |
