Bruce Springsteen, "Bring 'Em Home"

I don't know if I've posted this here before. But it's always worth another listening. It's Bruce Springsteen, here in San Francisco 2006, singing Pete Seeger's "Bring 'em Home". One of the new ironies of the title that wasn't there when Pete wrote the song in the 1960s is that it sounds so close to Bush's notorious "Bring 'em on" crack in 2003. They've been "bringin' 'em on" ever since.

FEATURED QUOTE

"It is the logic of our times
No subject for immortal verse
That we who lived by honest dreams
Defend the bad against the worse."

-- Cecil Day-Lewis from Where Are The War Poets?
