Fragile, Reversible - I wish

Listening to Petraeus and Crocker moan about how fragile and reversible the many gains won by the surge are, I couldn't help but wonder at the many right-wingers who dare to call such a pathetic situation a success. I also coudn't help but hope that the domestic mistakes and mischief of the Bush gang will be equally fragile and reversible.

Of course, I know otherwise.

It will take years of hard work to undo the damage done by this incompetent and dishonest president. Our civil liberties are indeed fragile; our respect for human rights too easily reversed.

We have some work ahead of us.

FEATURED QUOTE

"It is the logic of our times
No subject for immortal verse
That we who lived by honest dreams
Defend the bad against the worse."
