We get off on warfare!

So says Rev. Rod Parsley, whom John McCain has praised as a "spiritual guide" and "moral compass."

Hagee has been renounced by Mr McCain. But Parsley, whose political ministry in Ohio may have helped George W Bush defeat John Kerry in 2004, appears to be safe from such criticism or condemnation from the Maverick who once had no trouble denouncing such "agents of intolerance".

The Straight Talk Express is making a slight detour to avoid this inconvenient little bit of sectarian hostility, just as some Sunnis avoid certain Shiite neighborhoods in Iraq.

UPDATE: I just saw that McCain has renounced Reverend Parsley too. There really is no shortage of such nutcases among the religious right. Maybe it is time we asked all the preachers to stay the hell out of politics?
