White House Denies, Dissembles, DelaysPhoto - Charlie Reidel (AP)Yesterday - only four years late (and only after being ordered by a judge to do it), the White House Thursday released a new report - a comprehensive scientific assessment of specific threats to the USA from man-made global warming. The report is noteworthy in that, despite its extreme tardiness, it does come (albeit begrudgingly) from a White House that has pretended all along that the scientists were engaged in a great hoax. USA Today reports: The report was required by a 1990 law which says that every four years the government must produce a comprehensive science assessment of global warming. It had not been done since 2000.Technorati Tags: global climate change, global warming, government by court order | +Save/Share | | |
