Letter to my Congressman

Dear Mr. Rothman,

I wrote to you the other day to express my objections to the bailout bill, and I want to thank you for voting in opposition to that terribly flawed proposition. Now a second, worse bill is before Congress, and I urge you once again to vote "no".

For the past two days, I have heard economists say this is a bad bill, but it is better than nothing. I say, for $700 billion, why can't we have a good bill?

This new bill is so much worse than its predecessor. Please stand up and say so with your vote today.

No subject for immortal verse
That we who lived by honest dreams
Defend the bad against the worse."
