Pat Buchanan, Revisionist Historian

Following up on Bruce's last post, I happened to catch this exchange on Hardball today.  The really fun part is watching Pat Buchanan, a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, tie himself into knots trying to defend the fallacious argument that slavery had nothing to do with Virginia's role in the Civil War.  I guess I shouldn't be too surprised by anything the man who wrote "A Brief for Whitey" has to say though.

FEATURED QUOTE

"It is the logic of our times
No subject for immortal verse
That we who lived by honest dreams
Defend the bad against the worse."
