Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian on voter-suppression segregation laws

Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian of The Young Turks don't use the label "segregation" for the voter-suppression laws the national Republican Party is pushing hard. But their analysis is a good one.

These laws are straight out of the segregation playbook. Such laws were the primary device used to deny African-American citizens their right to vote in the segregated South for 90 years or so, with the threat and sometimes actual practice of violence backing it up, more often reinforced by economic coercion.
