Getting On With His Life"But whether it be here or in Washington or anywhere else, there's somebody who has got something to say to the president, that's part of the job," Bush said on the ranch. "And I think it's important for me to be thoughtful and sensitive to those who have got something to say.""But," he added, "I think it's also important for me to go on with my life, to keep a balanced life." His life it seems, is one long bike ride. When the President is missing from an important event, such as, maybe winning the war in Iraq, or creating jobs for Americans, you can almost always find him on his bike. Today, instead of meeting with Cindy Sheehan, he found time for a marathon biking session with Lance Armstrong. Hey Lance is a cool guy, he's survived cancer, he's won a gazillion Tour De France races, and he's dating Sheryl Crow, who wouldn't want to hang out with him? It's more fun to go tooling around on a mountain bike with a world class athlete than having to listen to some crazy woman bitch about her dead son. I wonder if Bush has a nickname for Armstrong? Maybe something like "Lancey Pants"? That's kinda cute. Doesn't anyone else think it's sort of ironic that the leader of the free world isn't afraid to compete with the best cyclist in the world, but he's scared shitless to even meet with some skinny, middle-aged mother? Chicken Hawk. | +Save/Share | | |
