Have You Seen Dick?

Strange that with all of the scandal related to the Veeps office lately, you hardly hear a peep out of Dick Cheney. He might be hiding out in his undisclosed location, or you just don't know for sure, maybe he's still behind the curtain pulling those puppet strings that make Boy George move. I know I haven't seen much of him, maybe he forgot to come back from his August vacation.

Out of sight, but maybe not out of mind. It could be that Patrick Fitzgerald is thinking about Cheney quite a bit. In the Washington Post today, the word is that the focus of the investigation is falling on Cheney's office, and the indictments, or slaps on the wrists, may come down as soon as tomorrow. No one knows for sure how many of Cheney's people will get dragged into the process, but I am hoping that it's not just about outing a CIA agent, as bad as that is, but maybe about the poor handling and manipulation of intelligence that has brought about countless deaths and the decline of America.

There are rumors flying around DC tonight that Cheney may actually resign, the Great and Powerful Oz behind the curtain of the presidency might just have to step aside once the indictments are handed down, and the criminal steps to advance the war for oil in Iraq are revealed to the public in criminal depositions and testimony. There is apparently an informant that the prosecutors convinced to spill the beans rather than face prison.

I don't know about you, but I've been waiting for justice since March of 2003. The justice I'm looking for is most likely more that our system can deliver, but I'll take what I can get. A little justice is better than none at all.
