Democrats Getting a Spine?

I was wondering what the deal was yesterday when Democrats invoked an obscure rule that caused a closed door session and truly pissed off the Republicans. It was a little funny seeing Frist bitch about a slap in the face, and ranting about gutter politics, especially since he and many other Republicans are under suspicion for some questionable activities. I was feeling a little under the weather and went to bed early and never found out what was going on until this morning.

So remember the Senate investigation of pre-war intelligence? I think the report came out last summer, maybe in June or July, but basically it put the blame on the CIA for being dead wrong about the WMD that we never found in Iraq. There was supposed to be another part of the investigation concerning the White House, and whether or not some of the intelligence was misused to make a case for war. Phase two of the investigation was supposed to happen after the election, but it was put off indefinitely. After the closed session yesterday, the Democrats put out a report detailing twenty instances where Republicans blocked the Democrats request for information, and ignored the completion of Phase Two.

I'm not sure if the wimpy Democrats are actually getting ready to fight, but it sure was nice to see them stand up for once.
