More Cartoon Thoughts

This isn't the sequel to my earlier post on fundamentalism, but a result of my continued wandering thru cyberspace reading up on the issue. Tom Tomorrow is a liberal cartoonist well-known to most of us. I thought it might be interesting to get his take on the Danish cartoon madness, so I visited his blog, This Modern World. Indeed he has been ruminating on it, and has some interesting thoughts in this post, A Rupture in the World. In the post he has quotes from Josh Marshall and August Pollack (of the blog xoverboard and himself a cartoonist) that provide yet more food for thought. Interesting stuff, please give it a read.

FEATURED QUOTE

"It is the logic of our times
No subject for immortal verse
That we who lived by honest dreams
Defend the bad against the worse."

-- Cecil Day-Lewis from Where Are The War Poets?
