Who's in charge in Iran?I thought I would call attention again to something I quoted in my previous post from an article in Ha'aretz:"Like the U.S. failed in gaining victory in Iraq, the Americans will also fail in realizing their aim of a Zionist-dominated Middle East," said Khamenei, who constitutionally has the final say on all state affairs in Iran. (my emphasis)Not that our war-loving Republicans will care. But it is Ayatollah Khamenei as the Surpreme Jurisprudent in Iran who is the main chief executive of Iran. Not the president, Ahmadinejad. Something to keep in mind when we see unpleasant quotes from Ahmadinejad rendered in the most alarming translations. | +Save/Share | | |
