Warm Wishes for GeorgePEER (Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility) is offering us all a chance to send "warm" wishes to our president on his sixtieth birthday:Sixty years ago current U.S. President George W. Bush was born and the United Nations held its first meeting. Last winter almost all of the countries--except the U.S-- in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change ratified and put into effect the Kyoto Protocol. Today the Bush administration continues to ignore the inconvenient truths of global warming, while slashing funding for environmental agencies that research and protect our natural resources. So, at this site you can do just that. By simply filling in a short form with your information, you will wish the prez happy B'day, and ask him to give the gift of continued life to the planet by acknowleging the reality of global warming and start working peacefully for positive action on global climate change. It's a very nice birthday letter, let's make the man happy by making sure he gets LOTS of them. | +Save/Share | | |
