Another One Bites the DustAre you guys as tired of war news as I am? There seems to be no end to the killing, 50 here, 20 there, and all of the awful by-products of armed conflict, displaced people, economic devastation, and the feeling that the world is a dangerous and hostile place. On the home front, there is a bit of good news, Bob Ney of Ohio is dropping out of the Senate race. At this late date in the race, there may be a chance for the Dems to take that seat. I'm not feeling any sense of satisfaction at the Republicans getting called on some of the slimey deals, I just think that we need lawmakers with a sense of honesty and integrity. It's sad to watch a powerful public figure fall from grace in this climate of nasty media. But for all of the pain, we will all be better off with honest representation. The American people need to decide that it's time to clean house, and rid the country of lawmakers who would sell the interests of the people to the highest bidders. Although the process of ridding our government of corruption is painful and shameful to our nation, we will not begin to heal as a country until we have honest and trustworthy people in office. | +Save/Share | | |
