Aren't You Sick of "Stay The Course"?Especially when you realize how much "stay the course" is costing us: A phased withdrawal would save $416 billion on the deficit over the next four years and $1.28 trillion over the next decade. On the other hand, a strategy of “stay the course” will increase the deficit by $313 billion over the next four years and $1.3 trillion over the next decade. That doesn't include the cost in lives which is an even more obscene number. But don't bother asking Bush and the GOP to respond because they'll deny saying "stay the course"; the talking point du jour is now "adapt to win". | +Save/Share | | |
