Royal Society Rebukes ExxonFrom today's edition of the British paper The Guardian, environment section, comes this report of a rebuke to Exxon/Mobil by the Royal Society, "Britain's premier scientific academy," Royal Society Tells Exxon: Stop funding climate change denial.Britain's leading scientists have challenged the US oil company ExxonMobil to stop funding groups that attempt to undermine the scientific consensus on climate change. The entire text of Bob Ward's (Senior Manager, Policy Communication) letter from the Royal Society is available in pdf format here, and is well worth a reading. Very nice to see the scientists (see my previous post on the UCS as well) standing up and making noise. Let's hope they will be heard above the roar of the crowd of corporate and governmental liars. | +Save/Share | | |
