Imagine

Our President has signed torture into law while the "opposition party" doesn't manage much opposition. The great majority of American people probably know more about Desperate Housewives or the Monday Night Football game then the state of our shameful union. Nevertheless, conscious and progressive people of many stripes continue to organize, educate, and agitate for change in this country. October 28th! Mark it on your calendar and then on October 28 get your ass out of the house and into the streets before it really is too late and we're all labeled as "Enemy Combatants."

To help liven your spirits in these days of darkness, I offer a wonderful clip of the Idiot in Chief singing the Communist Manifesto, John Lennon's Imagine. Enjoy:

FEATURED QUOTE

"It is the logic of our times
No subject for immortal verse
That we who lived by honest dreams
Defend the bad against the worse."

-- Cecil Day-Lewis from Where Are The War Poets?
