They'll Come Here.I am so sick and tired of hearing the fear mongers repeat time and time again that if we don’t fight the terrorists in Iraq, we’ll be fighting them here in America. In the second Republican debate, every single candidate with the exception of Ron Paul made that statement, as if it was some kind of Universal Law. Don’t these idiots realize what they’re suggesting?People who fall back on using this mantra are saying that if we don’t keep sending our children to die in Iraq, the terrorists will surly come here and kill us - much better to sacrifice our kids there. Why don’t we just throw them into a volcano? Mayhaps that would keep us as safe as sacrificing them on the alter of George Bush’s war. At the current rate of American deaths, almost 2,000 more men and women will die in Iraq if the war continues until President Bush leaves office in January of 2009. That's 2,000 more sons, daughters, husbands, wives. Where are the families who would volunteer their sons and their daughters to fill that quota? The next time you hear someone articulate this absurdity, tell them to shove it where the sun don’t shine – where that kind of thinking belongs.
