The Brits Lied!Today I came across an interesting story regarding the "hostage" crisis between the British and Iran back in March. A post over at Lenin's Tomb sums it up:A parliamentary report into the 'hostage' crisis some months back has conceded Craig Murray's point that the maritime map published by the Ministry of Defence was actually confected from thin air - that between the ears of defence ministers. The report says that the map could be regarded as "deliberately misleading", that there is no certainty in the coordinates given by the British government, and that the government was lucky that Iran didn't contest it.They just made it up. I recall Rosie O'Donnel and others on the Left getting a lot of flak for even suggesting that this may have been provoked by the British. This follows on my post about the Gulf of Tonkin, and I can't stress how important it's going to be to look very critically at any claims made about Iran in coming months. | +Save/Share | | |
