Democratic debate bloggingI tuned into Univision's bilingual (English/Spanish) Democratic Presidential forum, aka, debate, at the 30 minute point. After 35 minutes or so, I'm just puzzled at what these Univision journalists are doing. They say they have 2,300 questions submitted by the public. But the ones they chose are about immigration, the status of children of immigrants, education, foreign policy toward Cuba, what their opinions of Hugo Chavez is. Not a single question I've heard so far about John Edwards hair. Or whether Clinton is too "divisive". Or asking each candidate to turn to their left and say something they don't like about the next candidate. What, these Univision folks are asking about issues, and substantial policy question. What the heck is wrong with them? Don't they know what TV news is supposed to be about? Tags: democrats, establishment press, mainstream press | +Save/Share | | |
