War stamps on 1944

Since I'm following The War and it's already into 1944, I thought I would post images of the Postal Services 1994 series of Second World War stamps. They have their own captions. And the art on stamps is usually pretty decent, and often quite good. (See, I can do Second World War kitsch, too!)

And a bonus map!

FEATURED QUOTE

"It is the logic of our times
No subject for immortal verse
That we who lived by honest dreams
Defend the bad against the worse."
