Political Insight From Red State Update

I really shouldn't like Red State Update. I dislike just about any form of entertainment that portrays all Southerners as backward bumpkins. Some of us are halfway intelligent and most of us do wear shoes from time to time.

Most of the Red State Update videos show two good ol' boys from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Jackie Broyles and Dunlap (aka Travis Harmon and Jonathan Shockley), sitting around a desk littered with empty Bud cans with the U.S. and Tennessee flags and a caricature of Fred Thompson in the background, discussing the latest political news. It's funny stuff because I know guys just like this and if you got them a little buzzed and riffing on politics, it would sound just like this.

In their latest video, they discuss the results of the latest political contests in Nevada and South Carolina. Keener political insight is hard to find from television's more polished talking heads.
