Eenie Meeny Minie Moe?

Is this, then, what it comes down to? I'm so mad that John Edwards' progressive candidacy came to naught, and now I'm left to choose a primary candidate in the same way we used to choose It in a game of Hide and Seek. John Neffinger has a piece in today's HuffPo that I completely agree with: ELECTABILITY: That is All. Nothing Else Matters.

In five days we pick our champion to go up against the GOP nominee and try to finally win a presidential election this century.

There is exactly one thing we should be talking about, thinking about, measuring and mulling over: ELECTABILITY. Who is more likely to be able to beat McCain (or Romney) in November?

As I say, I certainly agree with this assessment. But Neffinger leaves us to our own process of elimination between the two remaining candidates, and wishes us luck. Tankwoman seems to think that Bill will be a help in getting Hillary elected, which would be a plus for her as the Democratic candidate, but I'm just not convinced my grrl is right on this. In the same HuffPo, Bob Cesca opines that It's Time for Progressive Bloggers to Choose a Candate, and comes down heavily on the side of choosing Obama. And, yeah, he almost convinces me that he might be the better candidate, but not that he would be the more electable of the two. So, here I am, a few days left before I have to pull a lever and honest to God, all I've got is eenie meeny minie moe. It is truly not clear to me which candidate would finally be the more electable, as perhaps it isn't to anyone. All are welcome to weigh in on this. Neil, can you say more than just how moved you were by Obama's SC victory speech? What else has convinced you to give him your vote?
