Freedom on the marchThe New York Times reports that the California Supreme Court overturned a ban on gay marriage today.
"Our state now recognizes that an individual's capacity to establish a loving and long-term committed relationship with another person and responsibly to care for and raise children does not depend upon the individual's sexual orientation," the court wrote.Equal treatment under the law. Not too much to demand in a country that prizes human rights and individual liberty. Seems downright American to me.
