More McCain Campaign Circus TricksSarah Palin may be suspending her campaign, matching the idiocy of John McCain's suspension yeterday. They may announce the Palin move today - an announcement being the only way reporters would know that anything had changed given how effectively Palin has been shielded from any but the most limited interaction with reporters. Meanwhile, McCain's schedule of suspended campaign events has kept him in New York overnight - he is giving a speech here today and then maybe heading to Washington (where, after a week's work they are close to a deal and nobody really needs or wants his two cents). Chris Dodd last night expressed his frustration with McCain's last minute showmanship, pointing out that he had not heard one word from McCain during the deliberations over this bailout -- while Obama has been engaged over the past week with Senate leaders, with Ben Bernanke and with Hank Paulson. Forty days till the election, and John McCain wants to postpone the debate scheduled for tomorrow night. It is a transparent stunt - nothing McCain has to offer in Washington right now could be more important than the choice before the American people in this election. What clowns! All the McCain campaign needs is a little car, and some squirting boutonnieres. | +Save/Share | | |
