HOORAY!!!!!!

Well, I got here too late for the TBV virtual party, but I sure had a good time at the Convention Center here in downtown Albuquerque with a big ol' crowd of New Mexican Democrats - a rainbow of Dems, all of NM's diversity was represented: Hispanics, Native Americans, African Americans, our growing Asian population, and plenty of good old gringos. To my great relief, I won't have to move to Canada, as NM is now a completely blue state. It was a total sweep tonight - our entire congressional delegation will now be Democratic. Tom Udall replacing Pete Domenici, Martin Heinrich replacing the odious Heather Wilson, and so on. It was a delirious crowd eating taquitos and chicken wings, drinking beer, total strangers in mad embraces - it's a wonder we didn't blow the roof off the Convention Center. I thought Obama's speech was wonderful - how fine it will be to have a president I can stand to look at and listen to. A man who speaks in complete and gracious sentences, with historic references and real trains of thought.
