Crisis for democracy in Greece

Wolfgang Münchau, editor of the Financial Times Deutschland, writes in Willkommen in Weimar (Welcome to Weimar) Spiegel Online 09.05.2012 (my translation):

An exit from the euro or from the European Union would absolutely not be the worst variant. The Worst Case would be in the Greek case falling back into a dictatorship. The liklihood of this scenario grows with the degree of political instability. Already today it appears that [German Chancellor Angela] Merkel's savings policy is being put through on the streets of Athens with armed violence.
