Nothing has changed.Remembering 9/11/01. The day that was supposed to have changed everything. What has changed? As an almost comically unqualified Michael Brown is demoted for failing to meet the challenge of a great national crisis, America must wonder about the other unqualified boob whose failure in office is all too apparent. Are we really stuck with this guy till 2008? I know. It is wrong to criticize Bush for the Iraq war -- it is unpatriotic and shows a lack of support for our men and women in the military. And it is wrong to criticize the failure to bring aid to the distressed victims of Katrina, because we should only think about how to help these people and not at all about how many lives a more effective response might have saved. And it is wrong, I am sure, to say anything negative or political on this day of reflection and sorrow. But things that were supposed to change for the better in this country have changed for the worse under our current leadership, and it seems all Bush is capable of doing is giving us more days like this one -- days of grief we will remember for many years. It is time for that change, my friends. Maybe everything does not have to change, but some things must. And soon. | +Save/Share | | |
