Carnival of the Green 5A stone cold Monday afternoon, waiting for the snow to arrive. Bird feeders filled, birdbath heater plugged in for one available open water source, all that's left to do is get the suet feeders hung out.Monday means the publishing of this week's Carnival of the Green. Today hosted by The Greener Side, it's up and it's even more interesting than usual. A full complement of green ideas for gift buying, wrapping, alternatives to the usual consumerism, as one would expect at this time of year. However, this time it starts off with an arguement. A blogger named Francois Tremblay, at the blog Radical Libertarians, weighed in with this article: The Greenies and Their Beliefs: Top Ten Signs You Are a Greenie. The article is a compendium of antiquated assumptions and misunderstandings, based on the actions of some extreme groups. Next, Nick of Triple Pundit ventures out to refute Francois' assertions, point by point: An Interesting Exchange with Some Anti-Green Humor. It's really beyond kind of Nick to call it humor. In any case, it makes for lively reading. | +Save/Share | | |
