Merry Christmas!

The world goes on, in its way. More of the same continues pretty much to be the general theme. A few pleasant surprises have come in the past couple of days to lighten the mood a bit -- cause for hope in the season of hope?

I sure hope so.

Please forgive me for the lighter-than-usual Blues News entries today. I thought it might be appropriate to reach for something less filling in the hope it might just taste great.

One more thing...

In my much-derided home state, "you guys" has always been interpreted broadly and inclusively to mean everyone - regardless of gender. Is it insensitive? Maybe if you're from a more refined state, like Idaho or Missouri.

When I wish you a "Merry Christmas", I am wishing you the peace and joy and happiness that have always been a part of this holiday for me and for my family. I am wishing that for you, regardless of your religious beliefs.

Feel free to wish me the good things associated with whatever holidays you celebrate, and I will be thankful for your expression of good will.
