Bush in NashvilleBush spoke in Nashville at the Grand Old Opry on Wednesday. The Nashville Tennessean reports - Bush upbeat about country in home of country music by Bonna de la Cruz 02/02/06:Appropriately, given the setting, Grand Ole Opry members and other country stars warmed up the crowd — including Larry Gatlin, Craig Morgan, the Del McCoury Band, the Oak Ridge Boys and Ricky Skaggs. Lee Greenwood sang his anthem, God Bless the USA.Gee, Barbara Mandrell was there? And Lee Greenwood sang "Ah'm proud to be an Amurican/Where at least I know ah'm free"? Gosh, it must have been exciting to be there. I'll keep listening to the Del McCoury Band and Ricky Skaggs anyway. I'm assuming Bush didn't drive out to The Hermitage to tour Andrew Jackson's mansion. If he had, Old Hickory would have surely come up out of his grave and told him exactly what he thinks of Halliburton Republicans. | +Save/Share | | |
