The Un-Dead

The President's Budget Proposal is based on the assumption that Congress will enact his second worst idea -- the privatization of social security. Amazed? Me too.

The never-say-die kid is hoping for a comeback that would make Lazurus look like a cheap stunt.

Allen Sloan in The Washington Post wrote about this yesterday (look here).

You might be interested in the actual figures included in the budget -- the cost of the lame one's proposal is finally laid out for all of us to see.

Though he may not really want you to notice.

As Sloan observes, the SOTU did not include anything about Social Security privatization (except of course for the unintended laugh line).

No subject for immortal verse
That we who lived by honest dreams
Defend the bad against the worse."
