Carnival of the Green #19This Carnival business provides such wonderful exposure for green blogs and other green sites; in every hosting I find something new. I do hope we have some Carnie readers who are finding this to be true as well. This week's stop for the Big Wheel is at Baloghblog, and a fine turnout of posts it is. I'm quite partial to Dirty Greek's post on green beers - no, not the kind your local pub dyes on St. Pat's Day, the kind of beer whose small breweries are using sustainable/renewable practices in the brewing. I'll have to see if I can find either of the beers he references in the article.Greener Miami has a posting of an interesting project - the analysis of the household's trash over the period of a week, and a very thoughtful analysis of the Final Results. Trash awareness is an important part of environmentally mindful living, and this was an enlightening experience. Greener M's lack of recycling ability makes the trash a much more difficult part of life. Recycling, composting, and trying to buy items with less packaging have made a great difference in our own household trash output, but I'll bet if I did this kind of week's analysis I could find a lot more ways to cut that output. | +Save/Share | | |
