TBV Feature: Al Gore RocksI can hear all of the screams of the East Coast liberals as I type these words. But still, I think Al Gore is the guy get the job done. He's been out of the picture for eight years, and therefore is not part of the Washington problem, those folks who voted for the war, and now are reluctant to stop it. He's been the only Democrat to vocally criticize the administration, and Americans view him as having gotten screwed in 2000 when the Supreme Court picked George Bush as president. He's polling just behind Hillary and John Kerry, and in the polls, both Hillary and Kerry are trailing John McCain. With Al Gore, there are no messy Senate records to deal with. And aren't we all a little nostalgic for those Clinton days when the economy was booming, and we had the options to consider impeaching a President for a venial sin of the flesh, and not negligent governing? Today we have no options for correcting the wayward course our leadership has set us on, and the Democratic front runners have no new ideas. Oh. Did I mention Al Gore already has a slogan? "Re-elect Al Gore" Hmmmn....no problems with spelling, punctuation, or grammar. Now if he would only stop saying things like Unitary Executive Theory, ( and maybe say instead, the President thinks that he is able to wiretap your phone even though it's illegal) and inventing the Internet, we might have a candidate who can win. And I'll vote for him. | +Save/Share | | |
