Tweety makes a good point about anti-abortionistsNow that we're fast heading back to the basics on the abortion issue, Atrios has been highlighting a very good point. The Christian Right believes abortion is murder. They consider it their godly duty to dissemble about the details. But once the Roberts Court overturns Roe v. Wade they'll be wanting to charge those nice Republican white girls who get surreptitious abortions with murder and send them to prison for years.Atrios has up an excerpt today from the conservative Tweety (Chris Matthews) jamming a Republican Senate candidate on that point. If this exchange is any measure, the flat-earthers are really worried about this argument. By the way, as generally reprehensible as Matthews is, he does occasionally act like a real journalist. And this seems to be one of those times. Also, he's taken a critical stance toward the Iraq War even before the invasion in 2003. | +Save/Share | | |
