It's Our Time, Let's DO It!

If you are feeling anything like Tankwoman's description of her own state of mind (The Disease in America) - and who, from time to time, does not? - maybe you - and for sure Tankwoman - should think about attending this year's Take Back America Conference. It's even in Washington, DC, where I happen to know Tanker herself resides. It's taking place Monday, June 12 to Wednesday, June 14 at the Washington Hilton on Connecticut Ave, NW. The Take Back America Conference brings together thousands of progressive activists, thinkers and leaders to discuss the ideas, hone the message, train the organizers, and build the infrastructure we need. This conference will focus on the way forward.

...and bloggers! Gotta love it. I'd like a list of those bloggers, really. Wonder if there's a way to get one. Anyhow, I'd go to this just to hear Bill Moyers and Barack Obama. If nothing else, three days of hanging with a conference full of like-minded souls would be a serious shot in the arm, a pushing-back of despair and cynicism at least for a while. Maybe supplying the needed energy to push through to the midterm elections?
