The Decider decides Again!

President Bush heard there was a problem at the border and has decided we should send our troops down to defend it against those madmen who pick our produce, build our homes, and basically work for for dirt cheap.

WASHINGTON (May 15) - President Bush said Monday night he will send as many as 6,000 National Guard troops to the U.S. border with Mexico to help stop the flood of illegal immigrants, part of an administration drive to win conservative support in Congress for an election-year overhaul of the nation's tattered immigration laws.

Apparently the "Decider" has decided that our war machine can fix anything. Let's hope political dissidents don't become such a nuisance that he decides to sick the troops on us!

FEATURED QUOTE

"It is the logic of our times
No subject for immortal verse
That we who lived by honest dreams
Defend the bad against the worse."

-- Cecil Day-Lewis from Where Are The War Poets?
